Common Questions
What County do I live in?
Chandler, Boonville, and Newburgh are in Warrick County.
Evansville is in Vanderburgh County.
Here is a map that has the counties labeled. Knowing where to find yourself on the map
will come in handy when Weather Alerts show maps without labeled counties.

What do the sirens mean?
In Chandler, and other surrounding areas, there is a Volunteer Fire Dept. To alert the
volunteer firemen when there is an emergency, a siren sounds in short bursts. These
alarms should not be confused with Tornado or Severe Storm sirens. Storm sirens
sound one prolonged alarm. These sirens also are tested weekly.

Vanderburgh County Sirens are tested every Friday at noon.
Warrick County Sirens are tested every Saturday at 1:00 pm.
