After the loss of his son to addiction, Jim has been sharing his story to bring hope. He not only wants to reach addicts, but also those that surround and love them.
“I was on the phone with him hours before he passed away,” Jim said. “That struggle was very real and also brings purpose to the whole thing. My son wanted to help other people, and I feel like we’re doing this together.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]McComas hopes to convey to addicts that God’s love will prevail, and that their mistakes are no greater or worse than anyone else’s. To the families of addicts, and those grieving the lost of their children, family, and friends- he wants to encourage and comfort them.
“I want to honor Matt’s memory but also tell the truth,” Jim McComas said.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1297″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”1296″ img_size=”medium”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]We will also be sharing a video of Amy Dawson’s story during the service.  Despite Amy growing up in our church she later wandered from her relationship with God and also fell prey to addiction. However, God saved her and broke the chains of her addiction and now she serves as a leader of New Life Recovery, our ministry to anyone recovering from any hurt, hangup, or habit.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”1297″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
